CVFF 2015: Life as seen though the eyes of the young and the old

The themes emerging from the films selected so far for the Clare Valley Film Festival 2015 are life as seen though the eyes of the young and the old. Two ends of the generational spectrum.

In a departure from previous years we have asked the directors of our partner festivals to cast there discerning eye over their own finalists and send us their pick of the best. From which we chose our shortlist.

A highlight: Alexia Roider director of International Short Film Festival of Cyprus, chose Tau Seru, an India/Australia production also selected for the prestigious Semaine de la Critique, Cannes.

Not forgetting our centerpiece production Asha, written by Emmy Award winner Rob George and directed by our Education coordinator, the dynamic Dan Bradley. Continuing the CVFF 2015 theme, this young man’s presence is felt in how he observes the world around him. With a grippingly tormented performance by newcomer Angus Leighton.

And of course there’s the return of the pods! More about that next time…
